Scott Meyers asked:

Back pain can come from many sources. If it occurs from early childhood, sometimes this pain can be caused by a condition of the spine called scoliosis a condition which occurs when the spine is not straight. Depending on where the curve starts, scoliosis can also deform the ribs, causing them to push the chest out in front and in back. The back pain that accompanies this condition depends on where the curve begins and how severe it is plus the age of onset.

Scoliosis usually begins at birth. Genetics plays a key role in the onset of scoliosis, although the exact source is unknown. Eighty percent of all patients diagnosed with scoliosis are considered to have inherited the condition. Eighty-eight percent of patients with scoliosis are female. The onset of scoliosis can be broken down into infantile, juvenile, adolescent and adult. Adult onset is almost always scoliosis that was not discovered or treated at an earlier time.

Whatever the reason or when it was diagnosed, the onset of scoliosis can cause extremely agonizing back pain. The amount of pain is directly related to the degree of the curve. The worse the curve the more it will tire the sufferer doing their daily routines, and the worse the pain. Often, because of the angle of the curve, there can be pressure put on the nerves and the vertebrae are compacted. This can cause very serious back pain. In extreme cases this curving can even cause paralysis or heart and lung problems.

The deciding factor on how to treat scoliosis back pain is what to do about the curve. If the curve is forty degrees or less it is harder to treat since braces do not work. Larger curves do not always benefit from braces, however, since the curve can realign itself once the braces are removed. If the curve is serious enough, surgery may be suggested. Scoliosis surgery uses pins, screws and rods to straighten the spine. These devices eliminate the back pain. For those concerned about surgery, braces and exercise are the only options left to try to correct the curve.

A scoliosis sufferer’s healthcare provider will tell their patient that the key to prevent serious back pain is to ensure that the curve does not exceed fifty degrees. If the curve does exceed that limit, by the time the child reaches adulthood, they can count on a one percent increase in the curve yearly. This worsening of the curve increases the long-term pain and other issues associated with severe scoliosis curves.

Scoliosis will affect children worse if they have a large curve than if they have a smaller one. Proper diagnosis and treatment of scoliosis is not only an issue of treating pain, but of improving the quality of life for the patient throughout their lives. It is wise to investigate early and become active in treatments that can correct, even to some degree, the curve. This is the only hope to lessen the pain of scoliosis.

FIoricet side effects

Jane Worthington asked:

Hospitals are extremely expensive places to run. Not only does a hospital need to be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, administrators also need to pay for round-the-clock specialized personnel and the cost of the extremely-high monthly energy bills. It is no wonder that some hospitals and clinics simply cannot pay for those high costs month after month. If it is not a busy hospital, it is common for administrators to close down a wing or the hospital altogether. There are still many pieces of medical equipment, however, that are in working condition when this happens. In most cases, these machines and extra supplies are refurbished and sold to another hospital or clinic as used medical equipment. However, other places decide to donate this equipment to medical schools.

It is incredibly important that there is medical school equipment available for the future doctors of this country to use! As potential patients of these future PhDs, we need to make sure that these individuals are trained property in school so that they are ready to practice once they receive their degrees. Used medical equipment is the perfect tool on which medical students can practice their developing skills.

Medical equipment includes everything from wrap bandages to electrocardiogram machines (EKG machines). Doctors need to know everything from how to apply bandages to stop bleeding to knowing how to interpret basic machines. Most medical doctors start out in the emergency rooms of hospitals where they are on call three nights a week. These individuals need to know how to make decisions in a split second, no matter how tired they feel. Therefore, when their nerves and focus have almost run out, they need to know how to do the most essential basics without even thinking. All the practice they have in medical school will help them become the best doctors they can be before they even make it into the work force.

If you have access to used medical equipment and supplies and would like to help the future doctors of America, or any country worldwide, you should look into donating them to a medical school. The gift of education is one of the best gifts you can ever give!

Tamadol, Buy Tramadol

Zack Lim asked:

Toothache Pain Relief Home Remedies

Toothache is however a completely overwhelming type of pain that you cannot ignore. It seems to take over your whole life. Toothache Pain Relief Home RemediesYou can’t eat properly, you can’t drink cold drinks or hot drinks and you can’t get to sleep. Toothache takes over your life.

What you should be doing is preventing toothache in the first place with regular teeth cleaning and visits to the dentist. But even people who do everything right in caring for their teeth will at sometime be faced with coping with a toothache.

I am not going to tell you that natural toothache remedies are going to rid you of all tooth pain immediately. These home remedies will keep you going until you can get an appointment to see a dentist.

Crushed Cloves

have a safe, natural asthma treatment click here

You can do a number of things with cloves including sticking them into meat for roasting. To help with your toothaches you can crush some cloves and mix it with some salt. Apply the mixture to each side of the tooth that is in pain. This treatment will help with the throbbing pain and exposed nerves. You should find that hourly applications will reduce the pain and keep you sane until you get to the dentist.

Ice Cubes

Ice cubes will make the pain worse if applied directly to the tooth. But if you make an ice pack up with a thin towel and lean your face against it you will get a general cooling effect in your mouth. This will not actually be curing your toothache but will give you some welcome temporary relief from the tooth pain.

Salty Mouthwash

This is the most ugly of natural remedies for toothache but it also can be the most effective. You simply take some kitchen salt and mix it with some warm water. You can use this mix as a mouthwash. It will reduce any infections and swelling. This tastes horrible but can be very effective for a day or two until you see your dentist.

These natural remedies should give you some relief from pain and discomfort until you get to a dentist. They are not a cure and you will have to seek further help as soon as you can.

be free of asthma drugs Click here

Fioricet, Tramadol, Ultracet at the cheapest prices

It has been estimated that 70% of migraine sufferers are female. Of these female migraine sufferers, 60%-70% report that their migraines are related to their menstrual cycles — hence the name, menstrual migraines.

In some cases, these painful headaches are preceded or accompanied by a sensory warning sign (aura), such as flashes of light, blind spots or tingling in your arm or leg.

Migraine headaches typically affect one side of the head. They can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Some people have them weekly, others have fewer than one a year. Migraines usually begin sometime between the teen years and the age of 40, and can be classified as either “”classic” or “”common.”

What causes migraines/headaches?

Migraine headaches seem to be caused in part by changes in the level of a body chemical called serotonin. Serotonin plays many roles in the body, and it can have an effect on the blood vessels. When serotonin levels are high, blood vessels constrict (shrink). When serotonin levels fall, the blood vessels dilate (swell). This swelling can cause pain or other problems.

The cause of migraine is unknown. The condition may result from a series of reactions in the central nervous system caused by changes in the body or in the environment. There is often a family history of the disorder, suggesting that migraine sufferers may inherit sensitivity to triggers that produce inflammation in the blood vessels and nerves around the brain and scalp, causing pain.

Signs And Symptoms Of Migraines/Headaches

Not all migraines are the same. Most people experience migraines without auras, which were previously called common migraines. Some, however, have migraines with auras, which were previously called classic migraines. If you’re in the second group, you’ll likely have an aura about 15 to 30 minutes before your headache begins.

Episodes can last from several hours to several days and often are disabling. During the attack, pain may travel from one part of the head to another and may radiate down the neck into the shoulder. Scalp tenderness occurs in the majority of patients during or after an attack.

Foods that may trigger migraines

Aged, canned, cured or processed meat, including bologna, game, ham, herring, hot dogs, pepperoni and sausage

Aged cheese, Aspartame, Avocados, Beans, including pole, broad, lima, Italian, navy, pinto and garbanzo

To help prevent migraines:

Keep a record of what you ate before each headache. Avoid foods, such as chocolate, cheese, and red wine, that seem to cause an attack. Don’t skip or delay meals.

Treatment Of Migraines/Headaches

There are two ways to approach the treatment of migraine headache with drugs: prevent the attacks, or relieve the symptoms during the attacks. Many people with migraine use both approaches by taking medications originally developed for epilepsy and depression to prevent future attacks, and treating attacks when they happen with drugs called triptans that relieve pain and restore function. Hormone therapy may help some women whose migraines seem to be linked to their menstrual cycle.

Preventative medication may be prescribed for patients who have frequent headaches (3 or more a month) that do not respond to abortive treatment. Studies have shown that as many as 40% of these patients may benefit from preventative treatment.

Medication therapies for migraine

Individuals with occasional mild migraine headaches that do not interfere with daily activities usually medicate themselves with over-the-counter (OTC, non-prescription) pain relievers (analgesics). Many OTC analgesics are available. OTC analgesics have been shown to be safe and effective for short-term relief of headache (as well as muscle aches, pains, menstrual cramps , and fever) when used according to the instructions on their labels.

Tramadol ultracet

So you thought your back pain would go away by itself…

A recent study involving sufferers of low back pain in the British Medical Journal (2/05/98), contradicted the previous claim in the BMJ that back pain resolved itself naturally. A follow up found that 91% of those in the survey were still experiencing back pain 12 months later.

Make no mistake; if you have low back pain, you have a problem.

Most low back pain is the result of an injury. Sometimes these injuries happened years ago. I often have patients tell me that they have had low back pain before, but it has “always gone away”. This is usually the worst type of problem. Our body uses pain to tell us that we have a problem. (I promise the problem is not a shortage of Motrin in your body!) In our infinite wisdom, we take the drugs, cover up the back pain without fixing the problem, and our back pain temporarily goes away. We think we are fine, until it happens again and it always does. This time the back pain is a little worst and takes longer to go away and we continue this insanity until the problem is severe.

What causes low back injuries resulting in low back pain?

There are many ways low back injuries occur. The more important question is what do I do now?

Few GP’s will admit, as Dr Phil Hammond does in his book Trust Me I’m A Doctor that “they are not very good at treating back pain”. Most GP’s are reluctant to refer outside the NHS, even though chiropractors are specially trained to identify and advise on the specific cause of your spinal dysfunction (back pain). The bones of your spine protect the spinal cord as well as the nerve roots, sometimes they lose their normal motion or position (vertebral subluxation complex), and this can irritate the nerves that branch off the spinal cord to all the tissues of your body, resulting in back pain being experienced.

In order for the spine to be flexible, the vertebrae are joined together by soft tissue structures known as discs. Each disc is made up of two parts – a central soft core and outer rings of tough cartilage. The discs allow movement and also help to absorb shock. A slipped disc is the rather inaccurate term used to describe the condition, often in the lower back, where trauma or ‘wear and tear’ have caused damage to the outer rings of cartilage, so that the core is squeezed outwards. This can result in a bulge which can press on the spinal cord, the nerve root or the nerve itself. It can cause excruciating back pain, or referred elsewhere – for example in the lower leg or foot. Over my 22 years in practice, I have developed techniques that mobilize the spine to reduce any pressure around the spinal cord or nerves; offering patients not only back pain relief, but correction of the problem that is causing the back pain.

Do Medical Treatments and Surgery help?

The medical approach is at times necessary – even back surgery has a place. But according to some studies, most spinal surgery for acute lower back pain should be rarely performed. Many people who have had back surgery report a recurrence of their back pain within a year or two of the operation and may return to the operating table. In some cases the surgery makes no difference in their back pain whatsoever, and in some cases it does not give long-term relief.

The Chiropractic Approach:

Barton Chiropractic in Concord has helped thousands of people with low back pain, saving them from pain, disability, drugs and surgery. The approach at Barton Chiropractic in Concord is to make your spine and its nerves, discs ligaments and muscles healthier, stronger and more stable by correcting your vertebral subluxation. Anyone suffering from back pain should contact Barton Chiropractic in Concord to make sure they have no subluxations and have them corrected with a chiropractic adjustment if necessary. This may make the difference between a life of ease, health and comfort and a life of back pain, disease and disability.

What did the Government Studies reveal?

Major government studies from the US, Canada and UK have reaffirmed what chiropractic patients have been telling their friends with back pain for years: “Why don’t you see my chiropractor? You’ll get better much faster than from drugs or surgery- and it’s safer too.

In 1991 the Medical Research Council established chiropractic as one of the preferred and most effective methods of care for acute low back pain. “Chiropractic almost certainly confers worthwhile long term benefits in comparison with hospital outpatient management”. “If all these patients were referred for chiropractic instead of hospital treatment, the annual cost would be a reduction of some 290,000 days in sickness absence during 2 years, saving about 13 million in output and 2.9 million in social security payments”. British Medical Journal, June 2nd 1990 – www.chiropractic-uk.co.uk.

A panel of medical experts spent 2.5 years reviewing nearly 4,000 studies and reported that expensive tests (MRI, CAT scans) and therapies typically used to diagnose and treat acute lower back pain are largely useless. Instead the experts recommended the non-drug chiropractic approach.

The Manga Report commissioned by the government of Ontario in Canada, found that chiropractic care for patients with low back pain is superior to medical care in terms of safety, scientific evidence of effectiveness, cost and patient satisfaction.

Chiropractic is better for you!

Studies have shown chiropractic works better, is safer and less costly than standard medicine for lower back pain. Why are the results so overwhelmingly in favor of Barton Chiropractic in Concord? Because Drugs (painkillers, muscle relaxants, Valium…), physical therapy and surgery are not designed to correct vertebral subluxation only cover up your back pain and allow you to die more comfortably. Call us today at 925 685-2002 to make an appointment. We Can Help You!

Fioricet blog, know more about fioricet

In almost all cases, back pain is nothing to worry about. It often comes because we sit or turn awkwardly, or lift something a little too heavy for us. Over a week or so, it then slowly goes away. If you go back twenty years, the standard recommendation was that you rest. This is now accepted as wrong. In fact, you need to maintain as normal a lifestyle as possible, staying active and working through the pain. If that pain becomes more than a background distraction, the drug of choice is ultram to relieve the discomfort and allow you to continue moving around. Only if the pain persists or grows more acute should you worry and see your local healthcare provider. To help you understand this advice, the spine is made up of multiple parts called vertebrae which are held together by muscles and ligaments. To prevent the bones from rubbing together, there are soft discs between each pair of vertebrae which allow flexible movement. Inside the spinal cord are the nerves which carry messages from one part of the body to another. In the most common type of back pain, there is no real underlying disease or disorder. It’s usually a muscular or ligament sprain, or a minor problem with a disc. There are no medical tests to identify where these problems are coming from. A physician cannot “see” which muscles have been stretched a little too far. All that can be said is that something has gone wrong and you now have to adapt the way in which you move to compensate for the difficulty. At such times, ultram is useful to keep you moving. If you rest, the muscles are likely to stiffen and further restrict your movement. In about 5% of cases, there is a problem with one of the nerves that is pinched or trapped between vertebrae. You know about this almost immediately because the pain is not localized in the back but travels down one leg, giving a sensation of “pins and needles” called sciatica. A part of the cause of the pain may be an inflammation or movement in one of the discs. In either case, a painkiller such as ultram is all that is required as treatment, sometimes combined with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) or a corticosteroid. The combination with NSAIDs is more often required in the less common cases where the cause of pain is arthritis, i.e. an inflammation of the joints. In less than 1% of cases, there may be problems with the bone itself, an infection or a tumor. These require more than mere painkillers.

Fioricet
